Sunil Kanhai

Radio 90.5FM Sunil Kanhai, twenty-six (26) years old has been bass guitarist for ten years with the Trishul Orchestra, appearing in concerts in Canada, New York, Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela and Miami. He is the younger brother of 90.5’s Indar Kanhai.

This talented young man joined the Radio 90.5 family about seven years ago and is our production engineer, working on commercials and producing special features for the station.

As a musician Sunil admires Edwin Yearwood, Alison Hinds, Kumar Sanu, Lata, his brother Indar Kanhai; music by Michael Bootman, Santana and the Eagles.

He is a part-time DJ at popular night clubs in Trinidad, a job which he has been enjoying for the past eight (8) years.

Sunil is also skilled in woodworking and is a qualified joiner. In the little leisure time he has, he enjoys spending it playing basketball or relaxing with his family especially his grand parents from whom he loves hearing stories of life long ago.
