Kenneth Supersad
The multi-talented Kenneth Supersad is the “funny” addition to the Radio 90.5 family, as a singer, songwriter and musician. He has spent over twenty years of his life in music and more recently started comedy. He says being a comedian came naturally and he enjoys making people laugh.
Spreading his talent across the world, Ken as he’s fondly called has performed in places like Miami, New York and Canada and has also staged performances with Trishul Orchestra and D. Rampersad Indian Art Orchestra.
Kenneth has also copped quite a few awards; for three consecutive years (1997, 1998, 1999) he held Local Song Champion title in the Indian Cultural Pageant. In 2000 he won first place in another calypso and chutney singing competition ; at Pichkaaree competitions held by the Hindu Prachar Kendra in 1998 Kenneth again won first place in the Festive Category and in 2001 he placed first in the Theme Category.
Brimming with so much talent Kenneth enjoys thrilling audiences with his compositions and comedy at Hindu weddings and Bhatwaans (farewell/cooking night). Like a true Trini he likes spending his free time by the riverside. He says he was inspired and encouraged by Indar Kanhai to join Radio 90.5M.
Catch Kenneth as he co-hosts with Indar Kanhai Mondays-Fridays from 9:00 to 10:30am as they deal with news, issues affecting the people and let them tickle your funny bone with hilarious comedy on Sajda on Radio 90.5FM.
